Problem 4.1

Mr. R is a 58 year old with a recently diagnosed nasopharyngeal cancer. He has a 40 pack per year history of cigarette smoking and admits to a "moderate" intake of alcohol. He is scheduled to undergo a course of radiotherapy and is being simulated now.

Prior to his beginning his radiation treatments, what should be done? (Choose all answers you feel are correct.)

Selection A Be examined by a dentist to determine if there are significant oral problems which require correction prior to radiotherapy;
