19.1 Costs charged to patient: Routine patient care.

19.2 Tests to be research funded:

Laboratory costs: Dr. Jun-ichi Yamashita's laboratory, Kumamoto University, Kumamoto, Japan, will bear the costs of measuring the IL-6 levels.

Measurements of neuropeptide g, cholecystokinin, leptin, IL-1b, and TNFa will be carried by Blue #2.

Mayo Medical Laboratories: Kits/mailers/handling, storage, and mailings to Japan are being funded by NCCTG special purpose funds.

19.3 Other budget concerns: Megace and its placebo supplied by Bristol Myers. Marinol and its placebo will be supplied by Roxane.
